Bandits looted gold ornaments, cash and other valuables in separate dacoity incidents in different areas of the city. According to police, in first incident five robbers stormed into the house of Abdul Wahid at Shaheen Street, held the inmates hostage and looted 35 tolas gold ornaments, cash and other valuables.
In second incident, two robbers intercepted a local trader Amjad Rashid at Kharadan Bazaar and snatched cash and mobile phone on gunpoint.
In Shaheenabad Bazaar, two dacoits intercepted General Councillor Shaheenabad Malik Habib and looted Rs 19,500.
In another incident, three armed robbers stormed into Lone Internet Cafe opposite of Gulshan Iqbal Park, held the owner Yahya Maqbool hostage and made off with cash Rs 1,500, calling cards and other valuables.
Meanwhile, three dacoits intercepted Haji Muhammad Ismail and snatched cash Rs 30,000 and two mobile phones on gunpoint.
