Tight supply position pushed grams prices higher on the grain markets on Thursday on continued buying to meet the demand during the month of Ramazan, dealers said.
On the gram side, garda Punjab rose by Rs 20 to Rs 1880-1920, yellow peas Canada dal inferior type gained Rs 50 to Rs 1700 and good type rose by Rs 60 to Rs 1700-1740, they said.
Beetle Chana No 1 gained Rs 30 to Rs 1990-2050, beetle chana 50x50 rose by Rs 25 to Rs 1925-1965. Beetal Dal followed suit low type gained Rs 25 to Rs 2375 and better type rose by Rs 50 to Rs 2425, they added.
On the seed side, cottonseed oilcake with bag low type gained Rs 15 to Rs 465 and lower type picked up Rs 10 to Rs 470. Other items did not show any change.
On the rice sector, irri-white better type shed Rs 10 to Rs 1010 while the low type did not move any side due to balanced demand and supply, dealers said.
