PIMA sets up 23 medical centres in Abbottabad

Pakistan Islamic Medical Association (PIMA) has set up 23 medical centers in Abbottabad where average 4,000 patients are being checked daily, while 390 minor and 100 major operations are being conducted on daily basis.
PIMA Lahore President Dr Nisar Ahmad stated this in a press conference here on Wednesday. Giving details, he said as many as 213 doctors, 13 lady doctors, 5 psychiatrists, 215 technicians and paramedical staff and volunteers are providing their services with full dedication in these centers.
Similar centers have also been established in Muzaffarabad, Bagh, Balakot, Garhi Dupata, Mansehra and Basham where quake hit people are getting treatment. So far medicines worth Rs 2 million have been spent while 600 foreign doctors are providing services in collaboration with PIMA, he added.
