The government is planning to hold an all parties conference (APC) to discuss the relief and rehabilitation task in the earthquake affected areas and the opposition parties are being contacted in this regard.
Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal (MMA) National Assembly member Liaquat Baloch disclosed that the president of the ruling party Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain contacted him and Qazi Hussain Ahmad on telephone for holding the conference.
He said President Pervez Musharraf wanted to hold the APC on a single point agenda to help earthquake affectees. Baloch said, adding that he informed Chaudhry Shujaat that any decision in this regard would be taken after consultation with other party leaders of the MMA. Liaquat Baloch said he also held talks with Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Makhdoom Amin Fahim and Pakistan Muslim League-N leader Raja Zafarul Haq.
