Students urged to adopt positive approach

Federal Parliamentary Secretary (Law, Justice & Human Rights) Farooq Amjad Meer delivered a lecture on 'Principles of Leading a Successful Life' here at the Jinnah Islamia College of Commerce Township Saturday.
During his keynote address, Meer said: "We should determine our role model to such a personality, who has leadership qualities and whose contribution to society are generally appreciated and widely acknowledged.
In this perspective, he referred to the personality of the Quaid-e-Azam and Nelson Mandela of South Africa. Every effort should be made to follow qualities of our role model."
He advised the students to develop a habit of patience and forgiveness and asked them to always adopt positive approach, saying: "In case we find somebody in trouble or in need of assistance we must respond positively. However, if we feel we are unable to provide required assistance then we must pray for him."
Jinnah Islamia College Principal Mohammad Younus Mughal, in his address of welcome, highlighted achievements made by the College.
The College management also held 26th annual prize distribution ceremony. Many prizes were distributed among the brilliant students for their best performance in their annual exams, best performance in games and extra curricular activities.
College Chairman Muhammad Yousuf Mughal congratulated all the prize winners for producing remarkable results in exams, games and other curricular activities.
He also commended the intensive and consistent efforts of outstanding students in their respective fields of interest, and advised them to concentrate on their education with more dedication, unshakeable commitment, consistent and composite efforts.
The participants also expressed deep sorrow over loss of hundred of thousands lives in recent earthquake in the country. They also prayed for the eternal peace of the departed souls.
