Punjab governor satisfied over relief activities

Governor Punjab Lieutenant General Khalid Maqbool (Retd) has expressed satisfaction over relief activities in the quake-affected areas. Talking in a PTV programme he said the government is striving to rehabilitate the quake survivors.
He said relief activities are in full swing and every effort was being made to solve survivors problems. Food, medicine, blankets, tents and basic commodities of life are being provided to the victims adding that situation has improved regarding relief process, he added.
He said the people have provided relief goods in large number for the quake survivors. Punjab government, he said would fully support and encourage the "Support Family" programme and said it would mitigate the suffering of the victims.
He appreciated various organisations, volunteers, NGO's, specially Pak army and the youth for their help to rehabilitate the victims.
He also thanked the international community for timely help and assistance.
