Kasuri meets King Abdullah

Foreign Minister Khurshid Mahmood Kasuri met King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz of Saudi Arabia in Makkah on Sunday and delivered a special message from President Pervez Musharraf, thanking Saudi Arabia for its prompt and generous support and relief assistance to earthquake victim.
Khurshid Kasuri is on a tri-nation visit to Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Qatar.
During the meeting King Abdullah assured the Foreign Minister Kasuri of continued support for Pakistan during this crisis both from the government and the people of Saudi Arabia.
The two leaders discussed the holding of the forthcoming reconstruction conference in Islamabad next month.
The Foreign Minister also apprised the King about the relief efforts so far and discussed the future challenge of rehabilitation of affected people as well as reconstruction of the devastated areas.
During the meeting, bilateral relations and other issues of mutual interest were also came under discussion.
The Foreign Minister would leave Jeddah for Kuwait on Sunday to hold talks with the top Kuwaiti leadership.
In the last leg of his tour, he would visit Qatar on Monday before returning to Islamabad on Tuesday.
