Nepalese foreign minister meets Sindh governor

Nepalese Foreign Minister Ramesh Nath Pandey had a meeting with Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad Khan here on Sunday evening. Besides matters of mutual interest, both exchanged views on relief and rehabilitation of earthquake affectees.
Pandey paid tributes to the people and Government of Pakistan for the efforts made in this regard and said the international community too will play its role in this testing period.
Ibad appreciated the concern and co-operation shown by the international community in the relief efforts.
Both the Foreign Minister and Sindh governor were of the view that with joint efforts, the mission for helping the quake hit people and their rehabilitation will succeed.
They said the spirit, unity and cohesion demonstrated by Pakistani nation is praiseworthy.
Ibad welcomed the Nepalese foreign minister and showed appreciation to sentiments of the government and people of Nepal in context to earthquake.
Pandey extended special invitation to Pakistan's private sector for investment and trade co-operation and asked the Sindh governor to induce the investors in Sindh towards this.
He identified hydel power electric plants, water resources and other sectors as fields of investment and said Nepal was offering a free and friendly environment for this purpose. The Governor assured the visitor of all co-operation in this regard.
Nepalese Ambassador to Pakistan Pushkar Rar Bhandari and Honorary Consul General Mushtaq Chhapra were also present during the meeting.
