Ruling PML chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has said that President General Pervez Musharraf will announce convening of the proposed All Parties Conference (APC) after the opposition parties show willingness to participate in it.
Talking to newsmen at the Chief Minister's House here on Sunday, he said he had contacted the MMA and the ARD leadership and asked them to attend the APC, adding the proposed APC was aimed at chalking out a comprehensive and integrated relief programme for the quake victims, and he was hopeful that the opposition parties would participate in it.
Shujaat said the participation in the APC was the national responsibility of the opposition parties, adding: "We are asking them to attend the proposed APC to show their solidarity with the quake-hit people."
To a question about the presence of foreign soldiers, Shujaat said that President Pervez Musharraf will explain this in a press conference on Monday.
