UVAS teacher honoured

Professor Dr Masood Rabbani of the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS), Lahore, has been awarded 'Academic Distinction Award' by President Pervez Musharraf for producing the best textbook.
Professor Rabbani, who is a PhD in microbiology and working as director, Diagnostic Lab of the University, has authored eight books and manuals. He has 54 research papers to his credit.
Also this year, Dr Khushi Muhammad of the UVAS was awarded 'Best Teacher Award' by Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz on Teachers' Day.
Speaking at a meeting here on Saturday, University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Vice-Chancellor Dr Manzoor Ahmad said: "Now we had the best faculty and these awards were a testimony of the fact that the university had adopted a transparent method of section of teachers."
