Activity at Karachi and Qasim ports

The Karachi Port handled 46,568 tonnes of cargo including 35,980 tonnes import and 10,588 tonnes export cargo including 1,264 containers during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Tuesday. The cargo comprised of 42,368 tonnes dry cargo including 23,585 tonnes general cargo; 18,368 tonnes bulk cargo and 4,200 tonnes oil/Liquid cargo.
Four ships sailed out to sea during the report period. Five vessels are currently at the berths. Four ships expected to sail on Tuesday, while another four vessels are expected to sail on Wednesday.

The cargo comprised of 6,691 tonnes wheat, 6,850 tonnes chemicals; 2,871 tonnes sugar and 21,403 tonnes containerised cargo.
MT Al-Marwah sailed out to sea during the report period, while another ship MT Yanaseni is expected to sail on Tuesday.
A total of three vessels viz Chem Lily, Olympic Spirit and Global Pallas are currently at the outer anchorage.
Four ships namely CV Msc Delta, Chem Lily, Olympic Spirit and Global Pallas due to take berths on Tuesday.
MT Anette Kosan due to arrive on Tuesday, while another container ship Nedlloyd Cobra is due to arrive on Wednesday.
