Sialkot businessmen set up hospital in Balakot

A 200-bed hospital having the facility of operation theatre has been established in Balakot by the business community of Sialkot for providing immediate and timely medical treatment facilities to the quake-hit people of Balakot and its adjoining areas.
President Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), Dr Nouman Idris Butt talking to Business Recorder here on Tuesday said that the business community would play its instrumental role in the rehabilitation of earthquake-affected areas.
SCCI had so far dispatched ration and other relief goods worth Rs 25 million for quake-hit areas of the country, he informed.
The SCCI President said that the business community of this export-oriented city and hub of cottage industry would fulfil its social responsibilities and use all resources for the rehabilitation of the quake victims.
As many as five thousand (5000) surgical kits, 5000 working gloves, sufficient quantity of jackets and blood bags etc were being dispatched for earth-hit areas, he informed. Soon after Eid, a group of businessmen would visit earthquake-hit areas to express solidarity with their suffering brothers, he said adding that on this occasion cash would also be distributed among victims.
