Japan to set up DNA laboratory for quake victims

The Japanese government will set up a forensic investigation science laboratory in Pakistan for DNA testing of earthquake victims for correct identification, a six-member delegation of Japan government said on Tuesday.
The delegation of ruling coalition headed by General Nakatani, a former Self Defence Forces Member and former minister-in-charge of Self Defence Agency called on Interior Minister Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao in his office.
The delegation expressed condolences and sympathies over the loss of life and properties due to October 8 devastating earthquake.
The delegation told the minister that six helicopters sent by Japan government had been participating in the relief and rehabilitation activities.
Nakatani said that they would remain available till completion of the operation.
