A major power breakdown hit the city here on early Wednesday morning when Wapda's 600 megawatt power line was tripped at Jamshoro Grid Station. The line tripping pushed the areas of Liaquatabad, Gulberg, North Nazimabad, Sharifabad, Nazimabad and FB Area in to darkness. After more than two hours, KESC removed the fault and power was restored to the affected areas.
