Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Chairman Yasin Malik has urged the leadership of India and Pakistan not to let Delhi bomb attacks hinder the peace process between two countries.
He told reporters at an Iftar here, hosted by the Information Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, leadership of the two countries should show restraint and not allow confidence building measures suffer.
"They must show determination and take along the Kashmiris for peace in the region and solution of the Kashmir dispute," he added.
"They have started a high profile peace process and if there is any statement from any side which might affect this process it should be avoided." "If the peace process suffers it means the elements (against peace process) have won," he added.
He welcomed the opening of LoC at five points and said people living on both sides should be able to help each other in the aftermath of earthquake.
Yasin said he favoured Kashmiris should be free to cross the LoC at those points without any identification but added it was up to the two countries as to what they decided about it.
Replying to a question if the Kashmiri leadership was united, he said the Kashmiris were united and should be given representation in the peace process.
"Then it will be decided who will represent Kashmiris in these peace talks," Yasin said.
He said Chairman All Parties Hurriyat Conference Syed Ali Gillani would visit Pakistan at the head of 17-member delegation after Eid.
Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said Pakistan-India relations would continue to suffer 'ups and downs' till the solution of Kashmir dispute. He said a peaceful solution would lead to prosperity for the peoples of the two countries. Sheikh Rashid said he would be pleased to welcome Ali Gillani. "In the present situation his arrival will be a good omen."
He said foreign media would be taken to the openings along LoC after the roads were cleared as he had received a number of such requests.
