The government officials will enjoy seven-day holidays on Eid festival, as most of the employees residing in different parts of the country have obtained two-day leave in advance for November 7 and 8.
The government has already announced three holidays from November 3 to 5 on account of Eid-ul-Fitr. On November 6 there will be Sunday, hence all the offices will remain closed on that day. Most of the employees have got sanctioned two-day leave in advance for November 7 and 8.
The government has also announced holiday for November 9. Therefore, most of the employees will enjoy seven holidays, and routine work in government offices will resume on November 10.
Moreover, attendance in different government offices remained thin on Wednesday, as most of the employees belonging to other parts of the country left their offices after marking attendance. The Civil Secretariat, Agriculture House and other public offices wore a deserted look. The employees, who attended their offices, left for their homes before 11.00 am. Practically, no work was carried out in most of the government offices on Wednesday.
