04 Nov, 2005

Jammu & Kashmir Liberation League has welcomed the opening of Line of Control (LoC) at five points to allow the people of Jammu & Kashmir across the LoC and help each other in their rehabilitation and relief work.
Talking to APP here on Wednesday, JKLL President and ex-chief justice AJK High Court former Justice Abdul Majeed Malik said they appreciated the recent move.
He said it was bold step initiated by President of Pakistan Pervez Musharraf, and positive response given by the Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh could pave the way for resumption of further harmonious relations between the two countries.
The JKLL President called for opening of all other natural routes to abridge the disintegrated Kashmiris including the divided families inhibiting either side of the LoC.
The JKLL President said revival of LoC would prove to be step forward in the ongoing confidence building measures (CBMs) and it might lead to the final settlement of Kashmir problem.
The JKLL President called for more simplification of the process of issuance of travel permit to the aspirant Kashmiris in the shortest possible time.
