'Experts meeting soon to solve language issue'

Sindh Chief Minister Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim on Sunday said that the provincial government would summon soon a meeting of educationists and technocrats to solve the issue of language and an all parties conference could also be summoned in this regard, if needed.
Talking to newsmen at Dhodharo, he regretted that some political circles were trying to manipulate the issue for theirvested interests. Dr Arbab said that Urdu is a national language and it had its own status, while Sindhi is a provincial language.
The chief minister hoped that Sindh government would soon find an amicable solution to the language issue. He said that while the whole nation was busy in relief and reconstruction of quake-hit areas, we should also discard the petty issues and join hands in this noble work.
To a question, he said that Prime Minister had announced a Rs 12 billion package for Thar, which was gradually being implemented, adding many short and long-term schemes were being devised for the development of the area area.
