There was despair all around,
On each side by rubble I was bound....
From the core of the earth it erupted
With abrupt motion it corrupted.
Everything was gone...
Families were split and forlorn,
Houses torn down...
Buildings crumbling
All because of the earthquakes rumbling.
Everyone quaking with fear,
The scene itself was so queer
And the losses of life were dear.
There were people on each side of me....
To this extent how could this be!
This moment I will never forget
Amass all the tears I had shed
This moment is at the back of my head
As I wake up sweating in my new bed.
