Anti-tuberculosis campaign launched

The district government has launched anti-tuberculosis campaign throughout the district under which free medical aid would be provided to people suffering from chest diseases.
Dr Nazar Muhammad, Executive District Officer Health disclosed this while inaugurating DOT Clinic established by District Anti-TB Association at Latifabad Unit No 6, Hyderabad on Saturday.
He said tuberculosis disease is treatable disease and could be completely wipe out provided people, parents of patients cooperate and actively participate in anti-tuberculosis programmes of the government.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of free clinic he said that provincial as well as district government Hyderabad beside providing free medical treatment to the TB patients, also encouraging private hospitals and association by providing financial as well as technical assistance to them to root out disease from the society. However, he maintained that continuity and punctuality in this treatment was very much essential as such the co-operation of parents/attendants of patients is needed.
