Canadian team to set up 'Surgical Camp'

Seven-member Canadian team comprising orthopaedic surgeons and other specialists in various disciplines will be arriving here on Sunday (today).
The team will set up a Surgical Camp at Aziz Bhatti Shaheed (District Headquarter) Hospital Gujrat to provide specialised treatment facilities to the affected people of earthquake-hit areas.
Punjab Minister for Health Dr Tahir Ali Javed said the camp would last for 10 days and referred cases from field hospitals, and other cases of serious nature would be treated. He stated he would hold a reception in the honour of the team.
The Minister said that best free medical treatment facilities were being provided to the injured of earthquake-hit areas. He said he had also directed the administration of teaching / public sector hospitals of the province to provide best healthcare facilities to quake victims.
