PSO to keep 2006 crude imports steady

15 Nov, 2005

Pakistan State Oil (PSO) is expected to renew its term agreements for 2006 Middle East crude supplies at steady levels of about 180,000-200,000 barrels per day (bpd), an industry source said on Monday.
Out of a total 9-10 million tonnes of imported crude next year, about 5.35 million tonnes (107,000 bpd) will be Saudi Arabian Light sour crude, its mainstay feedstock, a source with state-run Pakistan State Oil said.
The remaining 4.15 million tonnes is likely to be a mix of Abu Dhabi''s Murban and Upper Zakum, Iranian Heavy and Iranian Light grades, along with Qatar Marine, he added.
