An Algerian man accused of blowing up a Paris metro station a decade ago lost what could be his final case in a UK court on Thursday after a drawn-out extradition fight that has soured British relations with France.
Rachid Ramda has been held in high security British jails since he was arrested on a French warrant shortly after the 1995 attacks, the worst bombings in France since World War Two, which killed 10 people and injured nearly 250.
The case has been a major sticking point in relations between Britain and France, which accused London of acting as a haven for Islamic militants, especially from North Africa.
