Karachi University to display merit list on November 25

The University of Karachi has announced that it would put the admission merit list on display on November 25 instead of November 19 as announced earlier.
Meanwhile, the Institute of Space and Planetary Astrophysics (ISPA), University of Karachi, is celebrating "World Space Week 2005" from November 19 to 27.
The programme has been sponsored by Suparco and aims at enlightening students and general public about the importance of space science.
Different programmes have been arranged that also includes a seminar "Space Science and Challenges of the 21st Century" on November 21 at the Department of Chemistry auditorium. Researchers and scientists from the University of Karachi and Suparco will read their papers in the seminar.
In addition, the ISPA observatory will chart many programmes that will include science films on scientific themes, lectures and observation of the sun and planets through telescope.
Students of different universities, colleges and schools, who want to participate in these programmes, should contact Ispa or Suparco and get themselves registered. No fee will be charged for these programmes.
KU vice-chancellor Professor Pirzada Qasim has thanked the Suparco chairman and Grace Communications for their co-operation and patronage that had enabled the university to chart out programmes.
