US MIDDAY: coffee dips

US coffee futures dipped more than 1 percent Friday, with light speculative and fund selling taking back the previous session's gains, market sources said.
The New York Board of Trade's front-month December arabica contract, which had its first notice for delivery today, slipped 1.20 cents to settle at 96.80 cents a lb. It had been dealt from 96.75 to 99.40 cents earlier in the session. March retreated 1.70 cents to end at $1.0030 a lb, while back month arabicas shed 1.25 to 1.70 cents.
