Ukraine's feed barley exports through its seaports fell sharply to 55,000 tonnes in the first 10 days of November compared with 176,200 in the same period of October, analysts said on Friday.
Ukraine exported 252,700 tonnes of feed barley in the first 10 days of September. ProAgro agriculture constancy said in statement Ukraine had exported 50,000 tonnes to Jordan and 5,000 to Syria.
Ukraine plans to exports about 74,000 tonnes of barley in the coming weeks, analysts noted. Analysts said Ukraine had cut barley shipments by 16 percent to 536,100 tonnes in October from 640,300 in September and 543,300 in August.
ProAgro also said Ukraine had boosted maize exports via seaports to 38,500 tonnes in November 1-10 compared with 7,400 tonnes in the same period in October.
Ukraine exported 29,900 tonnes to Egypt and 8,600 to Libya. A total of 118,600 tonnes of maize were exported in October, mostly to Spain, Morocco and Saudi Arabia.
Ukraine harvested about 10 million tonnes of barley this year and analysts forecast exports at about 3 million tonnes this season. About 7.1 million tonnes of maize has been harvested so far this year.
