ZTE Corp, China's No 2 telecoms equipment maker, said on November 18 that it expects 2006 revenue to grow well above 30 percent, as it reaps returns on recent overseas investments and the expected award of 3G licenses in China.
"From 2000 to 2004, the average (revenue) growth year on year is over 30 percent for all the product portfolio," Cao Qiang, vice president of the company's mobility division, told Reuters in an interview.
"Obviously next year you have to take into account the Chinese government will start 3G networks, and we have also built trial networks in many other markets. Certainly we would expect the growth rate is a lot higher than the average next year."
