Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz on Monday constituted a Committee of Parliamentarians to review the relief and rehabilitation work in the quake-hit areas and summoned its first meeting here on Wednesday.
The Committee, headed by the Prime Minister, would have eight members from the opposition and nine from the treasury benches.
The members are Maulana Fazlur Rehman (MMA) Makhdoom Amin Fahim (PPPP), Qazi Hussain Ahmed (MMA) Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan (PML-N), Imran Khan (TI), Mehmood Khan Achakzai (PKMAP), Abdul Rauf Mengal (BNP) and Mian Raza Rabbani (ANP), while the members from the ruling alliance are Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain (PML), Rao Sikandar Iqbal (PPP), Dr Farooq Sattar (MQM), former Justice Abdul Razzaque Thahim (PML-F), Munir Khan Orakzai (Fata), Sardar Farooq Leghari (PML), Hamid Nasir Chattha (PML), Wasim Sajjad (PML) and Naseer Mengal (PML).
