Ashfaq Ahmad Gondal, a BS-21 officer of Information Group on Monday assumed the charge of the post of Director General / Principal Information Officer (PIO), Press Information Department Islamabad.
According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Ashfaq Gondal assumed the charge of the post of PIO vice Muhammad Akram Shaheedi, who proceeded abroad on leave-cum-transfer as Minister (Press) (BS-21) at the Embassy of Pakistan Washington.
Ashfaq Gondal was earlier posted as Director General (BS-20) - Internal Publicity Wing, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Islamabad.
