More relief goods dispatched to quake-hit areas

On the instructions of Punjab Chief Minister, the process of dispatching relief goods to quake-hit areas is continuing, and as many as 5,557 tents were sent to Mansehra through a caravan of 44 trucks from the provincial metropolis on Wednesday.
Provincial Minister for Revenue and Relief Gul Hameed Khan Rokhari and Provincial Minister for Finance, Sardar Hasnain Bahadur Dreshak were present at Jinnah Hall on the occasion.
Gul Hameed Rokhari informed that 106,723 tents have so far been sent to quake battered areas of NWFP and Azad Kashmir. He said the target of sending tents to the calamity-stricken areas would be achieved by November 30.
Hasnain Bahadur Dreshak said that Punjab Chief Minister is personally supervising dispatch of relief items for the rehabilitation of calamity-hit people. He said government will also send manpower for the reconstruction of the affected areas so that early rehabilitation of the calamity-stricken brethren could be ensured.
