Activity at Karachi and Qasim ports

The Karachi Port handled 82,972 tonnes of cargo including 60,414 tonnes import and 22,558 tonnes export cargo including 3,964 containers during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Thursday.
The cargo comprised of 61,411 tonnes dry cargo including 46,736 tonnes general cargo; 2,731 tonnes fertiliser; 5,533 tonnes rice; 1,872 tonnes rock phosphate; 4,539 tonnes iron scrap and 21,561 tonnes oil/Liquid cargo.
Five ships namely Gulf Pride, Berana, Kuo Hung, Marine Blue and Apl Cairo sailed out to sea during the report period.
Eight vessels viz Parinda Naree, Hyundai Sprinter, Gant Vision, MT Johar, Kota Wangsa, Marine Blue, Tanate and Kota Teraju are currently at the berths.
Four ships namely Parinda Naree, Xin Qiang, Lake Ranger and Thor Captain expected to sail on Thursday, while two vessels viz Kota Wangsa and MT Johar expected to sail on Friday.
Two vessels viz Golden Express and Argonat due to arrive on Thursday, while three ships namely Sagamore, Maria N.M and Zhong Hai are due to arrive on Friday.

The cargo comprised of 3,200 tonnes edible oil; 16,867 tonnes wheat; 8,250 tonnes chemicals; 16,366 tonnes coal and 16,830 tonnes containerised cargo.
Two ships namely MV Shimakaze and Msc Hailey sailed out to sea during last 24 hours.
A total of five vessels viz Sports Queen, Chitral, Barbara, Promotion and Anette Kosan are currently at the outer anchorage.
