City District Nazim Raja Javed Ikhlas has directed district revenue department of Rawalpindi to make recovery of all illegally occupied government lands sure and people, who have occupied the land should be taken to task.
"We will not allow any land mafia to occupy government land. We will take all possible efforts to vacate the land by hook and crook," Ikhlas said while talking to reporters here on Friday.
He said that there were reports that the government's wasteland was under the illegal occupation of some influential people and they have backing of some government officials.
He said it was necessary to vacate this land without any compromise.
Taking serious note of delay in preparing report of the fire incident in the revenue record room of tehsil Rawalpindi, Javed Ikhlas directed the department officials to submit the report within three days.
