SHC orders ACE to hold inquiry against KBCA officials

Anti Corruption Establishment (ACE) was directed by a division bench of High Court of Sindh (SHC) comprising Justice Musheer Alam and Justice Amir Hani Muslim to hold inquiry against officers of KBCA involved in construction of flat on the place reserved for car parking in Sharjah Centre, Saddar.
The bench was seized with the hearing of a constitution petition filed by Shamsul Islam and three others who were allotted flats in the said complex. The flats owned by them were sealed by KBCA as the same were constructed on place reserved for car parking.
The bench on a previous hearing asked law officer of KBCA to inform the bench about the names of the officials responsible for illegal acts.
Today, Anwar Ali Shah advocate, counsel for KBCA said that department failed in tracing the names of the persons responsible. The bench expressing dismay over the affairs of KBCA ordered Deputy Director ACE, Sultan Khawaja to hold inquiry into the matter within three weeks time and to submit the report before the bench. The bench later put off further hearing to a date to be fixed later by the office of the court.
