Chinese team visits Hamdard University

A five-member delegation of Chinese medicine experts from the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine (SATCM) on Friday visited Hamdard University to discuss Bilateral Exchange Programme in Traditional Medicine with the Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr Mohammad Iqbal Qureshi and the Faculty of Eastern Medicine at Hamdard University.
Professor Dr Muhammad Iqbal Chaudhry, Acting Director of the HEJ Research Institute University of Karachi facilitated this event intended to develop mutual co-operation.
This delegation from SATCM which supports, regulates organisation of the educational and clinical research activities of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in China and in foreign countries is visiting Pakistan these days to explore the possibilities of introduction of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Universities where Traditional Medicine/ Unani Medicine/Alternative or Complementary Medicine is being taught at graduation level or where such research activities are underway.
Hamdard University offers Bachelor of Eastern (Unani) Medicine and Surgery (BEMS) a five-year degree course which is recognised by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) and the Pakistan Tibbi Council.-PR
