Desecration of Quranic verses

27 Nov, 2005

Annual reports of public limited companies containing Quranic verses are found lying scattered on the floor of record room of Karachi Stock Exchange.
Logo of many banks containing Quranic verses are found on cheque books and deposit slip books. Such materials are used in day-to-day business transactions but torn off due to minor mistakes and are thrown into wastepaper baskets.
Newspaper pages containing Quranic verses are seen on roads and streets coming under the feet of passers-by. Thus huge desecrations of Quranic verses take place but no one cares.
Desecration of Quranic verses is a great sin so it is suggested that the Quranic verses should not be printed in companies reports. Banks should also avoid printing Quranic verses on cheque books, slip books and stationeries.
Such sacred material if found be placed in drums, boxes or bags fixed at many places in the city to enable the organisations to dispose of in proper way.
Almighty Allah will bless us for this kind step and we will be saved from desecration under ignorance.
