ATA dismisses SSP men's appeal

An appeal filed by two alleged activists of defunct Sipah-e-Sahaba Pakistan, Kamran Farooqui and Jamil-ur-Rahman in double murder cases, was dismissed here on Wednesday.
An Anti Terrorism Appellate (ATA) bench of High Court of Sindh comprising Justice Muhammad Mujeebullah Siddiqui and Justice All Sam Dino Metlo had earlier reserved the judgement, which was announced on Wednesday.
The activists were accused of snatching a taxi and attacking MashaAllah and Subhan Bakery in the jurisdiction of PS Gulbahar within a span of five minutes, killing Asad and Muhammad Hussain on 29-9-1997. The accused were sentenced to death by an ATC for Karachi division.
