CBOT rice futures tumble

January rough rice futures at the Chicago Board of Trade fell 14-1/2 cents per bushel past on Thursday as funds liquidated long positions and sell-stops were hit, traders said.
The market got off to weak start after the USDA reported disappointing US weekly rice export sales, traders said. O'Connor and Co were among the featured sellers. January rice was 14-1/2 cents down at $7.39 per hundredweight by 12:26 pm CST.
