Goods worth Rs 20 million looted

More than two dozen armed dacoits successfully escaped with cloth consignment and textile machinery worth Rs 20 million from two textile mills of Khurrianwala Sheikhupura Road, here last night.
According to details, about two-dozen armed dacoits entered in Pearl Textile Mills situated in 97-RB Johllan and held their staff member hostage in the office. The staff members told to Khurriawala police that robber's gang cut off telephone cables and had been chatting to one of their accomplices on a cell-phone during the dacoity.
They collected the valuables including cash Rs 2 million and loaded the manufactured cloth into two trucks and drove away after locking the room from outsides.
The owners were out of the mills when the incident occurred. He said the robbers also misbehaved with the staff members. The actual calculation is going on, however, owners stated that the loss is about Rs 15 million.
In another same incident, about a dozen armed dacoits took away textile machinery worth Rs 5 million from an under construction factory of Mian Abdul Latif. Police have registered the cases and no clue has been made so far.
