It was interesting to read the article on Shamshad Akhtar, the new SBP Governor. All the more interesting to observe your correspondent's reference that...the distance between Manila and Karachi is the same as between Islamabad and the Metropolitan port city (Karachi).
With reference to the context, if my inference is correct it adds to my knowledge of geography.
The inference was not geographical but metaphorical, ie Islamabad is as cut off from realities in Pakistan.-Editor
