Much has been written about the earthquake's causes, of the wrath of God and its admonitionary aspect, yet people still wonder why God is punishing Muslims with calamities.
The air crash in Iran is another recent episode to add to the litany of travails.
But the fact is that man can no longer be called a Muslim. For actions are what makes one that, not just words, which is mere hypocrisy.
After the quake so called Muslims plundered the victims in their homes, cutting the hands of women with bangles and other jewellery and committed unspeakable acts.
Those were Muslims by name too. A girl victim admitted to the hospital for leg injuries was sexually assaulted by a 'muslim' doctor.
And the many attempts at the kidnapping and selling of children, which are not mentioned, are also perpetuated by so-called Muslims.
Then can we blame God for His Punishment? Gay relationships, brothers usurping the share of their brothers or sisters is common, how much further do we have to fall?
