Growers asked to meet required standards for China rice deal

The Joint Secretary Exports, Ministry of Commerce, has said that an agreement had been signed with China for rice export and if the exporters met the required standards, the immense Chinese market would be captured.
He said that Ministry of Commerce had made all out arrangements to facilitate the exporters adding that the exporters were capable to pick all the surplus quantity of rice from growers provided the product met the required market standard.
He said the Director General Export Promotion Bureau would visit China on December 15 to discuss the problems being faced by exporters in liaison with Pakistan Embassy there.
