Minister of state for interior Senator Shahzad Wasim has said the government would provide all possible facilities to industrialists and traders to help them expedite Pakistan's pace of economic development.
He made this observation at a dinner hosted by the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industries (ICCI) former president and chief executive of Ittehad Steel Mills Khalid Javed for the newly elected ICCI present Abdul Rauf.
The state minister assured traders and industrialists the government would provide them foolproof security so that they could carryout their commercial activities in a conducive environment.
He also assured them the government will set up a dry port in Islamabad for quick and timely supply of raw material and other goods and take exports goods to ports on fast track basis.
Those who participated in the dinner included Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) president Chaudhry Saeed, FPCCI vice-president Zubair Ahmed Malik, Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industries (RCCI) president Malik Jalil, ICCI former president and chairman, Founder Group, Mian Akram Farid, former ICCI presidents Munawar Mughal, Mian Habibullah, Tariq Saeed, Khalid Masud Bhola, vice-president Chaudhry Khalid Mehmud, Suhail Malik, Mian Mehboob Elahi, chairman, Traders Action Committee, Ajmal Baloch and other prominent industrialists and traders of Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
Representatives of marble soap and other industries were also present on the occasion. A good number of bankers and bureaucrats also attended the party.
Islamabad Stock Exchange (ISE) former president Waheed Jan and M. Akram also participated in the party.
FPCCI and ICCI leadership show firm resolute to work for the betterment of traders and industrialists from one forum. They were of the view their resources were for the welfare of the people and progress of the country.
