Jordan team to discuss projects for investment

A 10-member delegation of Jordan's 'Shaheen' business and investment group, arrived here on Tuesday to discuss project identification and as a follow-up of their visit in early November this year.
The delegation is headed by Chairman of the group, Khalid Shaheen. A former deputy prime minister of Jordan Dr Jawad Anani is also accompanying the delegation.
During the visit the group is expected to make progress for investment in the projects identified during the previous visit which included projects in the sectors of power production, oil and gas distribution, hotels, housing, coal mining and cement. Besides meetings with Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz, Privatisation and Investment Minister Dr Abdul Hafeez Sheikh and officials of the Board of Investment (BoI), the delegation will hold business negotiations with ministers and secretaries of petroleum and natural resources.
