Activity at Karachi and Qasim ports

The Karachi Port handled 128,233 tonnes of cargo including 108,451 tonnes import and 19,782 tonnes export cargo including 4,031 containers during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Wednesday.
The cargo comprised of 70,233 tonnes dry cargo including 42,350 tonnes general cargo; 27,883 tonnes bulk cargo and 58,000 tonnes oil/Liquid cargo.
Six ships namely Emerald Sea, Rickmers New Orieans, Hanjin Busan, Xiang Rui Men, Farah and Stolt Violet sailed out to sea during the report period.
Ten vessels viz Kuo Hung, Kota Wijaya, Apl Dalian, Pacific Express, Thor Spirit, Anjum, Sir G, Orbit, Elli and Stolt Violet are currently at the berths.
Four ships namely Anjum, Elli, Apl Dalian and Pacific Express expected to sail on Wednesday, while four more vessels viz Kuo Hung, Kota Wijaya, Hyundai Future and Royal Crown are expected to sail on Thursday.
Four vessels viz Koriana, Eleonora, European Highway and Steela Quarta due to arrive on Wednesday, while six more ships namely Basaveswara, Kota Teguh, CMA CGM Simba, Apl Orchid, Iran Shahryar and Rambler are due to arrive on Thursday.

The cargo comprised of 852 tonnes carbon oil; 4,989 tonnes edible oil; 2,165 tonnes sugar; 2,205 tonnes rice and 17,714 tonnes containerised cargo.
Container ship Sealand Independence sailed out to sea on Wednesday morning.
Container ship Msc Dymphna is currently at the outer anchorage.
Four ships namely CV Marre Lycium, Gallant Wave, MT Al-Maqwa and Great Harvest due to take berths on Wednesday.
Container ship Msc Carmen due to arrive on Wednesday, while another container vessel Ibn Sina is due to arrive on Thursday.
