ANF to conduct survey of poppy growing areas from December 19

The Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) is going to launch a ground survey of poppy cultivated areas in NWFP and its adjoining tribal areas starting from Monday (December 19) and would remain continue till 31st.
Talking to Business Recorder at Institute of Management Sciences (IMS), NWFP Force Commander Brigadier Najam H Jamil said during survey the data on poppy cultivation would be collected for political administration of tribal agencies of Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata) to initiating operation against cultivation of the crop.
He said the Force was also considering an aerial view of agricultural lands of settled areas in NWFP and tribal areas to control the menace of drug addiction in the country.
