Rs 1.20 billion road project on the cards

District Nazim Sialkot Muhammad Akmal Cheema has said that the Sialkot-Gujranwala road would be converted into dual carriageway at an estimated cost of Rs1.20 billion and work on the project would be kicked off soon.
Talking to Business Recorder here on Thursday, he said special attention would be focused on the improvement of means of communication evenly in Pasrur, Daska, Sialkot and Sambrial tehsils of the district.
Akmal Cheema said that under the programme special step would be taken for the repair and construction of farm-to-market roads aimed linking remote and ignored areas with their respective tehsil headquarters and enabling farmer community to transport their agricultural produce to nearest mandi towns without any difficulty.
