NLC and LTE ink MoU

National Logistic Cell (NLC) has inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with LT Engineering and Trade Services Private Limited (LTE) for laying down 72 kilometre of optical fibre cable at the cost of Rs 35 million.
The MoU was signed by Brigadier Zulfiqar Hussain Shah, Commandant Engineers, NLC and AVM Raja Tariq Mahmood, Chairman, LT Engineering and Trade Services Private Limited.
Saeed-ur-Rehman (CFO NLC), Shabib Sajid, CEO, LTE, Fayyaz A. Jarral, Director Finance, LTE, Ahmed Saeed, PD Production, LTE, Altaf M. Rana, Manager Admin LTE were also present in the MoU signing ceremony.
The project would be completed within a period of 35 days. The project is part of a 500 kilometre long optical fibre cable project which was divided in five parts for laying down the optical fibre cable from Islamabad-Lahore-Faisalabad, via Pindi Bhattian.
An MoU was recently signed between NLC (National Logistic Cell) and LTE (LT Engineering & Trade Services Private Limited) regarding supply of optical fibre cable, equipment and other accessories. Saeed-ur-Rehman, CFO NLC had discussed the ways and means regarding the supply of optical fibre cable, equipment and other accessories and possibilities of entering into joint ventures for various projects in the country with AVM Raja Tariq Mahmood, Chairman, LTE.
Talking to this scribe about the optical fibre cable project, Brigadier Zulfiqar Hussain Shah, Commandant Engineers, NLC said that this is completely new field and would help NLC to assess its capabilities in different fields.
