Government medicines worth millions thrown into river

Huge quantity of government medicines worth millions were thrown into River Tavi by unknown persons allegedly belonging to Punjab health department. National Assembly (NA) Speaker Chaudhry Amir Hussain visited the spot and examined the medicines bearing the stamps 'not for sale.'
The NA Speaker directed the Punjab health department, Executive District Health Officer and District Co-ordination Officer Sialkot to hold the probe into this alarming incident immediately.
He also directed the authorities concerned to take immediate step to unearth the culprits at earliest and special attention should be accorded on the motives behind this incident.
Chaudhry Amir Hussain also said that this serious matter would be brought to the notice of Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi for necessary action.
