FBISE prize distribution ceremony on December 20

The 21st medal and prize distribution ceremony will take place under the auspices of Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) here on Tuesday.
The ceremony is in keeping with the commendable precedent of the federal board to hold medal and prize distribution ceremony every year. Federal Minister for Education, Lieutenant General Javed Ashraf Qazi (Retd) will give away medals, certificates and prizes to meritorious students, diligent and devoted teachers and out-standing result-oriented (heads of) institutions, adjudged best for the year-2005.
Altogether 14 gold, 14 silver and 18 bronze medals along with cash awards of Rs 10,000, Rs 7,000 and Rs 5,000 would be presented to the first three position holders in each group at SSC and HSSC levels.
Overall top position holders in SSC and HSSC annual examination-2005 will also be awarded personal computers along with cash award and gold medal.
To recognise the core of excellence in teaching, the best teachers award is being conferred to 20 teachers of affiliated institutions that include cash award of Rs 20,000 each and certificate of excellence.
The best institution in the academic sphere for the country and abroad excelling at SSC and HSSC levels examination 2005 will also be awarded trophies.
Moreover, the best overseas institution award has been instituted from this year to keep up the high traditions of the federal board.
