US coffee futures edged up to a new one-month peak on Monday, extending the previous session's gains of more than 3 percent on follow-through speculative buying and a lack of producer sales, traders said.
The New York Board of Trade's (NYBOT) active March arabica contract rose 1.05 cent to settle at $1.0240 per lb, the loftiest conclusion for the contract since November 22. May arabica gained 0.95 cent to end at $1.0460 a lb, and back month coffee futures advanced 0.80 to 0.95 cent.
